Abram Chasins

Chasins studied at the Juilliard School, Columbia University, and the Curtis Institute. After touring as a pianist, he served as a teacher at the Curtis Institute. Chasins is most-known for his work in radio broadcasting and he received four citations for his radio programs during WWII. His compositions include piano concertos and other pieces for piano. He also wrote several books on music history and appreciation.
